We are looking for a well-experienced Chief Purser or Manager Onboard Controlling (m/f) for
a 5* European Cruise Line with international passengers on wonderful itineraries.
The Corp. Chief Purser is located in the companies head office in Switzerland and will be responsible for all controlling matters - responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Review business processes and producers related to the onboard finance department day to day operation
Review, update and implement onboard financial reporting structure in alignment with accounting guidelines
Support Chief Purser and Administrative team onboard with all financial matters, including account settlements, cashbook, reconciliation, cruise close
Support month and year end closing by timely completion of required procedures and reports in compliance with deadlines
Perform End of cruise and End of Month financial reconciliation acting as link between ship ops and accounting team
You must have previous experience as Chief Purser or in a similar position on a seagoing vessel.

Being thorough at all times, while keeping the targets in sight comes naturally to you and you love to get the job done fast. You will be working very close with the accounting department, as well as the overall management department and will also be assisting in the annual financial reports and budget planning.
The position will also involve a small amount of travelling to/on the vessels.
You should have excellent communication skills, combined with exceptional written and oral communication skill in an international environment and with various numbers of nationalities as Crew Members and your colleagues in the Head Office. You should be well organized, have a positive, open minded personality and be stress-resistant at all times. In addition you must also have great experience in dealing with Port Authorities and Customs including all required paperwork for the crew, if needed.
Fluent English is required, any additional language would be a big plus – also required are excellent computer skills with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access etc.).
